Tree-felling, Extraction and Sawmilling

Sawmilling: Ron can arrange, or assist, to have your trees felled, milled and air or kiln dried for subsequnet making into furniture or other items of your choice.

The Karaka block (South Auckland) which is home to Ron's studio, contains a valley which had 100 year old pine and macrocarpa trees growing on its banks. An understory of natives were planted a few years ago and by carefully felling and extracting the pine and macrocarpa, the majority of natives survived and are now thriving in the full sunshine.

Tree felling and log extraction is dangerous work which makes a mess which needs to be tidied!
