Tables
The beauty and integrity of fine woodworking is revealed in its look, its touch and its functionality.

Kitchen workbench, NZ Matai and PNG Kwila. This table was designed and made c.1978 and photographed in 2007. Clients may view this table during a visit to the studio by appointment.
NZ Rimu Refectory Table. The client had a Rimu table base, which had been made in a small shop (possibly bespoke). The top was designed and made out of recycled Rimu doorframes ex: the Auckland Library.

Detail of Refectory Table top. The door frames had been bolted to the walls, so a feature was made from this 'defect' by plugging the holes with Indonesian Rosewood. In order to balance the effect of the defect, additional 'bolt holes' were created and filled. This is one example of the advantage of bespoke design.

This Altar/Communion Table was commissioned by St Barnabas, Stoke, Nleson and is made from a Yew tree which stood in thiir Church Yard for 100 years. For more details regarding the making and features of this table, click here.

Large round Kwila table, designed and made c.1978, photographed in 2007. Clients may view this table when they visit the studio by appointment.

Baptism font stand, Pacfic Island Kauri. This stand was designed to support the glass font which had been purchased for the Parish during an overseas trip. Christchurch, Alfriston, Clevedon Parish, Manakau District.

The font and stand are portable, enabling baptisms to be conducted anywhere, inside or out.
