Displays, Stands and Frames

The beauty and integrity of fine woodworking is revealed in its look, its touch and its functionality.

Stands, plinths, display cases and picture' frames of all sorts and sizes can be made to your requirements.

A small plinth made from NZ grown Macrocarpa and Indonesian Rosewood. The was a commission for a small run of stands to support and display a bronze sculpture of a Kauri seed germinating.

A display plate turned from NZ grown Atlanic Cedar, finished in oil and wax.

An exact copy of a Rosewood frame purchased overseas, which had rounded corners on the inside of the frame, most unusual. Made, as was the original, from Indonesian Rosewood, stained abd polished to match. Note the double spines at the corners used to strengthen these very delicate frames.

A wall shelf to support a 3 kg leaded crystal vase made from Pacific Island Vitex. The shelf incorportates a halogen light which shines up and through the glass.

The base of the shelf needed to allow access to the lamp, which, in time, will need replacing. The removalble plates had to be strong enought to hold the lamp and vase.
