Benches

The beauty and integrity of fine woodworking is revealed in its look, its touch and its functionality.

On this page we are displaying benches on which to sit. Kitchen or work benches are shown on the Tables page.

This bench was commissioned by the Clevedon Parish for the Christchurch, Alfriston cemetry. It is made from Macrocarpa and is assembled using Vitex wooden pegs. It has been and oiled with OrganOil's Exterior Furniture Oil. The bench is fixed to the concrete base and has been exposed to the full weather for about 18 months. It is turning silver on top, but retains a golden-brown out of the full sun.

Both benches in the Adrmore Parish cemetry were rotten and unsafe. The slats were removed, the cast frame work was cleaned and repainted and Vitex planks were installed and oiled with OrganOil's Exterior Furniture Oil. This enabled the benches, one of which was a memorial to a loved one, to continue to be used as intended.
